JPL approached Tuesday Creative with the task of redesigning their Photojournal website, looking to update the UI/UX and provide a desktop destination to compliment the popular Space Images iPhone app. As art director, I was tasked with defining the project’s scope, designing the look and feel and pitching our proposal to the stake-holders at JPL. I created a robust feature-set, pushing the wealth of content to top of the site and exposing powerful search tools to encourage intuitive exploration. By creating accounts, users could now organize, store and share images — a useful tool for educators, researchers and the arm-chair astronomer.
